云山学者Michael Bamberg教授将于6月20日下午2:00-5:00在第七教学楼523举办一场叙事研究工作坊,欢迎各位参加。
工作坊的内容及要求如下:
The workshop consists of two exercises and a brief introduction into WHY NARRATIVE?
The first exercise is more of a structural nature: Using a small picture book (without any words), we will "structure" two tellings of this booklet. Participants of this workshop are asked to familiarize themselves with the pictures (attached) and have somebody tell it to them—or better: they tell it to someone out-loud). The second exercise consists of two videos of the same telling of a ten-minute story. We will watch the two videos together, then do the structuring exercise, and then try to dig into a deeper and comparative analysis between the two tellings. In preparation of our 'work in the shop' participants are asked to read both stories and SEGMENT* them into their structural parts. The aim of this workshop is to target beginners in 'narrative analysis' and deliver some 'basic' concepts, and try them out on some 'real' tellings.
* 'segmenting' here means to draw a line between those parts of the narrative that 'intuitively' belong together.
